Nirjala Ekadashi: Yudhvir, Narottam inaugurates Bhandara at Dhakki Sarajana

JAMMU: On the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, BJP J&K Vice President Yudhvir Sethi along with Corporator Narottam Sharma on Tuesday inaugurated a Bhandara organized at Sarajana Dhakki, Jammu East Constituency.

On the occasion, Parveen Kerni, Mandal President BJP Jammu East, Vinod Kumar Gupta Vice President Jammu East and Vipan Sharma General Secretary Jammu East were also present.

Pertinent to mention here that Ajay Verma along with team members namely Bhanu Singh Jamwal, Vijay Verma, Rakesh Sawhney, Rajesh Kapoor and Pawan Chauhan have been organizing Langar for the last 63 days for the needy people of Jammu amidst corona virus pandemic.

Today's Langer marked the culmination of 63-day long initiative of Ajay Verma and his team members.

Sethi along with others served Langar and water amongst people and sought their blessings abiding lockdown restrictions. He said Nirjala Ekadashi is observed on the eleventh lunar day of waxing and waning moon when people consider fasting as a spiritual means of worshipping and appeasing Lord Vishnu. He said that such occasions bring intolerance amongst masses and also make them participate in community programmes in a big way.

Sethi urged people to stay connected to their roots and continue to observe such rituals in a big way that is aimed at strengthening our culture and heritage. We in Jammu and Kashmir UT are very much connected to roots and such rituals had always been our way of life, he asserted he added.

Sethi said that BJP is the party of people and is always stand with the people even the hour of crisis. He said that the entire country is fighting against the coronavirus pandemic and that they need to support the initiatives taken by the Prime Minister and asked people to come forward and make donations wholeheartedly so that the government can help the people to overcome the crisis.

Corporator Narottam Sharma said that the way the people of the country have supported to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi presenting a new hope for the nation in its fight against the global crisis of coronavirus.
