COVID-19:  JK reports 83 fresh positive cases, 449840 recovered, 2,32,87,05 Covid doses administered so far

SRINAGAR: The  Government today informed that 83fresh  positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 59 from Jammu division and 24 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 455089. Moreover, 37 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 22 from Jammu division and 15from Kashmir division.

ACB arrests Range Officer and Forest Guard for accepting bribe of ₹ 10,000

SRINAGAR: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) received a complaint alleging therein that Sohail Unis Shikari, Range officer, Kokernag, Anantnag is demanding bribe of ₹22,000 through Forest Guard Ghulam Mohd. Naikoo for processing the file of the complainant for allotment of timber Kairoo (Kair) for house construction. The complainant managed ₹10,000 and approached ACB for legal action against the corrupt officials.

JAMMU: A one day Interactive workshop was today conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (JKPCC) regarding "Implementation of EPR and Action Plan under E-waste Management Rules, 2016 in strategic partnership with Producer Responsibility Organization RLG Systems India Pvt. Ltd. The objective of the workshop was to deliberate upon the current scenario of EPR implementation in J&K and status of implementation of Action Plan under E-waste Rules and to have a common platform for discussion among the regulators and concerned stakeholders including implementing agencies, viz., District Administration, Local Bodies, Department of Industry & Commerce and Department of Labour to ensure effective implementation of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) directions.

SRINAGAR: With rise of Covid-19 cases in Kashmir valley over the last few days, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday said there is no need to panic. “There is no increase in hospitalization, so the rise in cases should not be a cause of worry” said DAK President and influenza expert Dr Nisar ul Hassan. Dr Hassan said case counts have lost relevance; hospitalization numbers are now reliable markers when it comes to assessing the threat from pandemic.

SRINAGAR: The Government today informed that 38 fresh  positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19)have been reported today; 25 from Jammu division and 13 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 454623. Moreover, 27 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 15 from Jammu division and 12 from Kashmir division.
