95 Doda women entrepreneurs complete training to avail benefits of Tejaswini Scheme

DODA: A group of 95 women aspirants completed their training under Tejaswini scheme of Mission Youth initiative under the  Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP). The EDP was held at JKEDI, District Centre, Doda with effect from October 29 to Nov 11, 2022 in which women aspirants within the age group of 18-35 years were trained for self-employment and entrepreneurship development. The candidates were trained for services, trading, manufacturing and agri-allied activities under the Tejaswini (the Radiant scheme of the Mission Youth J&K).

The training program based on Entrepreneurship lasted for 10 days and the trainees were provided basic business training to help them establish small business ventures like retail outlets of readymade garments, boutiques, salons, electrical goods, provisional stores, poultry, sheep and dairy farms in different areas of Doda. The services of various guest faculties from line departments were utilised during the EDP. An interaction and experience sharing of a successful entrepreneur sponsored by JKEDI was also part of the program to motivate these young aspirants towards self-employment.

The EDP certificates were distributed in an impressive valediction function at Conference Hall of DC office, Doda by District Development Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, in presence of ADDC, Pran Singh, Deputy Director Employment, Idrees Lone, DIO, Ashraf Wani, Cluster Head JK bank, Majid Pervaiz, Nodal Officer JKEDI, Abid Hussain Khan Office Associate JKEDI, MR Vinod Shant Employment officer DE&CC Doda and other officials of line departments, Doda. DDC and ADDC Doda also interacted with women entrepreneurs and discussed with them about their future plans regarding business establishment and management.
