Katra Navratra Festival-2022-  Maa Chanderghata Blesses Prabhat Pheri on Day 2

KATRA: The sixth year prabhat pheri of Navratra Festival Katra 2022 was today flagged off by the chief guest, Superintendent of Police (SP) Katra, Amit Bhasin and guest of honour,  Shiv Kumar Sharma, former president of hotel and restaurant association of Katra, in presence of Durga Dass and Ritu Sharma from  Central Bureau of Communication.

The Kanjak depicting Maa Chanderghata was the main attraction of today’s prabhat pheri,  providing the devotees  an opportunity to take her blessings during the entire route. The 2nd day of prabhat pheri was marked by scintillating performances of dances by renowned artists from Orissa, J&K, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, West Bengal and Maa Vaishnodevi  Ji devotees.

The other Jhanki consisted of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh and Maa Laxmi. The Prabhat Pheri started from bus stand Katra and passed through Varun Chowk via Panthal road, from Varun Chowk to Ambica Chowk via Railway Road and culminated at Bus Stand. The procession was welcomed and joined hugely by the locals and pilgrims

The locals as well as pilgrims danced to the tunes of bhajans and kirtan performed by Kumar Pandey and party. School students were very enthusiastic while participating in the parbhat pheri as they danced and chanted the jaikaras of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji all along the route.

Raj Kumar Padha, President Jammu and Kashmir Association of Prabhat Pheri,  informed that tomorrow the artists from Ahmed Nagar Maharashtra led by Shivaji Selkhe will join the Prabhat Pheri. He appealed to the local people to join the procession in large numbers to make it a grand success.

The members present on the occasion were Ajay Sharma, Raj Kumar Dubey, Ramnik Sharma,,Manoj Sadhotra, Ashwini Katoch, Rakesh Sharma, Vimal Kumar Rajesh Gupta,  Rattan Chand, Sanjay Tickoo, P.C Raina and Sanjesh
