JAMMU: Anti Corruption Bureau effected arrested Zaheer Abbas Bhatti s/o Muneer Hussain, r/o House no. 143, Lane 2, Narwal Bala, Bathindi, Jammu, who is working as Director of Social Welfare of India (an NGO), in case FIR N0.12/2020 U/S 5 (1) (C), 5 (1) (d), 5 (2) PC Act-2006 and 120 RPC of ACB Srinagar Branch pertaining to the allegations of fraud, corruption and embezzlement of public money in Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan Scheme.
Earlier, a Joint Surprise Check (JSC) was conducted by ACB to look into the above allegations against an NGO namely M/S Social Welfare India and officers/officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) pertaining to the construction of Individual House Hold Latrines (IHHL) units under Swatch Bharat Mission (SBM Scheme).
