JAMMU: Sunil Dimple President jammu west assembly movement in a strong message to the prime minister Narinder modi that the no harsh steps, like increasing prices of petrol, diesel, tool taxes and installation of the toll plaza of Lakhnapur should be taken in this pandemic and the economic crises faced by the residents of jammu Kashmir people and are dying of poverty and starvation. .
Dimple in his message has strongly opposed the jammu Kashmir govt decision for hike in the petrol price, diesel prices in jammu Kashmir from 1st June and against the installation of one Lakh fifteen thousand smart meters in Jammu Kashmir. Out of which in Jammu 80,000 smart meters will be installed and in Kashmir 35,000 only.
Talking to media persons Sunil Dimple registered strong protest demanded the LG GC Murmu not increase the petrol diesel prices in jammu Kashmir from first 1st June and not to install the smart meters in jammu Kashmir in this pandemic and economic crises.
He alleged the people of jammu Kashmir are dying of poverty, starvation, badly suffering from the economic crises due to pandemic lock down and the jammu Kashmir govt is increasing the prices of petrol, diesel per litter by increasing the excise duty in j&k.
He alleged the LG Murmu govt is installing one Lakh fifteen thousand smart meters in Jammu Kashmir. Out of which in Jammu 85,000 smart meters will be installed and in Kashmir 35,000 only.
Dimple alleged the central and j&k govt increased the prices of the petrol, diesel, in j&k union territory, at the time when in the international market the prices of petrol and diesel were very low between 15/- to 18/- rs per litter.
He alleged the people of jammu Kashmir economical weaker section, middle and upper class families all are facing the economic crises and the Govt in spite of giving relief is increasing the price of petrol diesel and installing the smart meters.
He demanded prime minister Narinder Modi to bring petrol, diesel, LPG under GST, to relieve the common man of the country and the J&K State.
Dimple warned of mass agitation against the installation of one Lakh fifteen thousand smart meters in Jammu Kashmir. Out of which in Jammu 85,000 smart meters will be installed and in Kashmir 35,000 only.
He demanded prime minister Narinder Modi to return our power projects and particularly the Slal & Uri hydro project back to our union territory.
Dimple said Salal project is producing so much electricity that after selling electricity to whole India. We can give free electricity to the people of Jammu Kashmir.
He said we are not getting any type of compensation in this lock down but the central Govt is privatizing the PDD department and huge mountains of taxes are being imposed on people.
He said the JKUT govt has proposed the huge hike of power tariff in the JKUT PDD power per unit rates.
Dimple alleged only the people of Jammu region pay power tariff and 80% eighty percent power revenue is collected from jammu region and after installation of smart meters, hike in power tariff this load will only fall on the shoulders of jammu people like other taxes.
He demanded the Govt not to install smart meters, not to increase the power tariffs in J&K, people are unable to pay such huge tariffs and the people will start mass agitation against this move of the govt.
Dimple demanded Governor, PDD principal secy Rohit Kansal to hold CBI inquiry of IRCON done works, as the most substandard work has been done by the IRCON.
He alleged after the completion of one year BJP Govt in center, degrading state in to UT the abrogation of article 370 the j&k common man is burdened with heavy load of toll plazas, tariffs, taxes, fines, burdens on traders, industries, farmers, common man and the the back bone of the people have broken.
