KU felicitates GK editor

Kashmir University Vice Chancellor, Prof Riyaz Punjabi Friday felicitated the chief Editor of the popular English daily Greater Kashmir Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo for his contribution to "educational development, society and economic growth of the state of J&K". The varsity Vice Chancellor also felicitated Faruk Masudi noted Hollywood film maker from Kashmir for his contribution to the world of film especially for his recent film Qur’an: The Contemporary Connections. The felicitation ceremony took place on the sidelines of film screening event of Director Faruk Masudi’s Hollywood film Qur’an Contemporary Connections, on the Major Themes of the Qur’an on Friday. Galaxy of Islamic scholars, KU students and university teachers were present at the felicitation ceremony at International Resource Cell, Allama Iqbal Library. Vice Chancellor presented a Kashmiri shawl and a memento to Chief Editor, Greater Kashmir and film maker Farukh Masudi. Vice chancellor said that Kashmir University feels pride to felicitate those men time and again whose contributions help shape our society for better.
