Jora for timely completion of Rs 15 cr Khir Bhawani project

The Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora has asked the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the Khir Bhawani (Tulamulla) development project. The project has been taken up as an integrated development scheme involving a total cost of Rs 15 crore. So far Rs 13 crore have been incurred on its development with 68 one room tenements, a Yatri Bhawan and pooja room stands completed.
The Minister accompanied by District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Mr. Abdul Majid Khanday, Director Tourism Kashmir besides other senior officers today visited Tulamulla and took stock of arrangement being made by the administration for smooth conduct of the annual Mela commencing from May 31 of this month. He was apprised by District Development Commissioner Ganderbal that all necessary arrangements have been made for the facilitation of the visiting devotees who are coming for the darshan of Mata Ragyna. The Minister directed the concerned authorities to work in close coordination and ensure that all facilities should be provided to the devotees during mela days.
Mr. Jora also inspected various ongoing works at the venue. He was apprised that construction work on extension of pooja hall, Yagya-shalla, Devari gate and toilet block involving cost of over Rs 25 lakhs are at final stage.
The Minister stressed upon the officers to work with missionary spirit and proper coordination to ensure all possible facilities are available to the devotees on mela days at the Ashthapan. He directed the JKPCC to ensure temporally function of all toilets and also asked for cleanliness of in and around of the Bhawan and ordered for engagement of more persons for the purpose. 
Mr. Jora while interacting with yatris assured them that government has taken all necessary initiatives for upgradation of various facilities to the visiting devotees at the various pilgrimage sites of the state. He said reformative initiatives are under way to upgrade the boarding and lodging facilities at pilgrimage sites for the convenience of the devotees. He directed the concerned authorities that directions issued from time to time in this regard should be implemented in letter and spirit and asked them that the works taken up should be given final touch in stipulated timeframe adding that any lapse in this regard would not be tolerated.
