CM meets Chidambaram, calls for resumption of internal dialogue

Chief Minister (CM) Mr. Omar Abdullah met Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram, here today and discussed various matters pertaining to Jammu & Kashmir.
The Chief Minister congratulated Mr. Chidambaram on being reappointed as Union Home Minister and said this continuity will benefit the State.
During his 25-minute meeting with the Union Home Minister, Mr. Abdullah suggested the need for resumption of internal dialogue in Jammu & Kashmir and taking further action on the recommendations of the Working Groups constituted by the Central government, saying these were the issues which can address hearts and minds of the people of the State.
Mr. Chidambaram told the Chief Minister that Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was keen to make J&K a model State of the country and reach out to the people of the State by accelerating developmental works. He said the Home Ministry will try to push the recommendations of the Working Groups.  
The Home Minister and the Chief Minister also exchanged notes on Amarnath Yatra and the arrangements and preparation for the same.
