Ridiculing the brazen faced lies of PDP aimed at destroying history and creating confusion in the minds of people, the senior National Conference leader and Finance Minister Mr. A.R. Rather Thursday denounced PDP for its dual and deceitful political trait.
Addressing various public rallies in Charar-e-Sharief & Khansahib constituencies of Budgam district, he said that PDP in fact is the extended arm of BJP created by Mr. Advani and Mr. Jagmohan to propagate BJP’s politics in the State by proxy and in lieu receive their patronage to get power in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Rather said the PDP was provided huge funds and logistic support by the BJP with the directions to deceive the Kashmiri by fanning emotions on critical and sensitive issues and grab power. He said since the inception of PDP, its leadership is engaged in emotional blackmailing for personal ends. “The party is actually a puppet in the hands of BJP leadership and works strictly under the directions of Mr. Advani and co”, he added.
The Finance Minister castigating PDP leadership for indulging in accusing National Conference , said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are the fountain head of National Conference’s popularity and this party survives on principles adding that our ideology is people oriented and not based on hollow slogans like that of PDP. “We do not require any body’s certificate people’s confidence in NC is its hallmark. Our ideology has been as bright as the sun shine since 1931 .We uphold this ideology with a commitment”, he said .
Mr. Rather said that National Conference is a public movement that witnessed many vicissitudes and encompassed different situations, its leadership and workers have suffered tremendously but kept the torch of its principles and ideology bright and flag unfurled on the top of the mast.
Mr. Rather said that NC-Congress coalition is based on high principles and mutual respect. “It is not our trait to sabotage the coalition partners like PDP which stabbed Congress in the back for petty party gains and under the directions of BJP in 2008”, he maintained. He said the NC-Congress coalition will get strengthened day by day and serve the people to the best of its ability.
Mr. Rather said that PDP was so desperate to stick to the power that after November 2008 Assembly Elections, its leadership went with begging bowl to the Central Congress leadership pledging on affidavit that they will not ask Chief Ministership for the party and behave faithfully even if Mr. G.N. Azad is nominated Chief Minister for full term of 6 years. “They humbly pleaded for restorations of broken ties with congress to willy-nilly remain in power but the Congress leadership rejected them saying once a liar is always a liar”, Mr. Rather asserted .Mr.Rather said that PDP on seeing the writing on the wall that people of J&K are going to write them off from the political scene of Jammu and Kashmir, they have started blowing the music of imaginary rigging. "This is the old tactics and tradition of this party", he said.
